Becoming a PowerSeller

Published by beakerwriter at 6:29 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Many sellers aspire to become PowerSellers because they think it will increase sales. Some try to reach the level of PS as a personal goal. Others think it will give them more credibility. But, until last month, it didn’t really make much of a difference in overall sales. As countless PowerSellers reported over the years, it had little to no impact on sales. The only difference was a faster answer to questions emailed to the site. That’s all changed now.

Part of the changes implemented last month are financial incentives for PowerSellers. These include price breaks on listing fees as long as a certain feedback percentages are maintained. The price breaks are something that PowerSellers have been lobbying to get for years. The discounts may be a little lower than what PowerSellers sought- 5 to 15 percent. They are also dependent on feedback percentages to determine how much the savings will be. There are expanded PayPal protection parameters as well as a few other small concessions. It does add up to a little more than the average eBayer can expect, but it probably isn’t enough to get a part-time seller to turn full time.
