Selling on eBay in the Summer
The summer is the slowest time of year for many eBay sellers. That comes from fewer people staying inside and shopping online and more people outside enjoying the warmer weather. Every year the same pattern emerges and every year many sellers have trouble moving their merchandise.
There are a few things that can be done, however, to beat the summer slowdown. The first is to sell items that are sought after in the summer. This includes summer clothes, swimming and fishing gear, car sun shades and pretty much anything else that has to do with sun or water. Those items are being searched for more often right now and can help make up for lost revenue.
Another way to raise revenue is to lower prices slightly. With fewer buyers shopping eBay, the ending prices for items will generally be lower. By lowering your prices during the summer you can better compete.
