How to Avoid Scam Buyers

Published by beakerwriter at 11:21 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

There are just as many scamming buyers as there are scamming sellers. Either one is unfortunate, but you do need to be able to protect yourself against either. The key to protecting yourself against any scam is being informed about what you can be do if a buyer gives you a problem.

Feedback extortion is a a major problem, and it’s only getting worse thanks to the new changes. If someone demands something- anything- and threatens to leave you negative feedback if you don’t reply, they are engaging in feedback extortion.  If this happens, go to the eBay Security Center and go through the Report a Problem button. Follow the prompts that will allow you to file a complaint against the buyer.

The same should be done if someone is harassing you or is threatening a chargeback. As long as you are fair with buyers, the problems will be rare, but they do occur. Don’t let your buyers take advantage of you.
